We are in the process of having two Automatic External Defibrillators (AED’s) installed in the villages, one at Bicknacre Village Hall, the other at The School Room, Woodham Ferrers.  We are running a number of training courses in conjunction with local First Responders, which are open to all residents of the Parish in the first instance.

AEDs are proven to save lives and are therefore an invaluable addition to health and safety for all.

The course teaches the essential skills that you need to use an AED and gives you the confidence to know what to do in an emergency.

The course will help you to:

  • Manage an emergency
  • Recognise chest pains / heart attack
  • Get to know the AED
  • Operate the AED
  • Resuscitate (CPR)
  • Treat an unresponsive casualty

There is no charge for the course, however donations are welcome.
