Village Herb Garden

You would have noticed the new herb garden beds on the Bicknacre Village Green.  We would like to invite any residents who would like to get involved in the design and upkeep or even just donating some herbs. Please contact me if you can assist.

We have installed Automatic External Defibrillators (AED’s) installed in the villages, one at Bicknacre Village Hall, the other at The School Room, Woodham Ferrers.  We are running a futher training courses in conjunction with local First Responders, which are open to all residents of the Parish in the first instance.

AEDs are proven to save lives and are therefore an invaluable addition to health and safety for all.

The course teaches the essential skills that you need to use an AED and gives you the confidence to know what to do in an emergency.

The course will help you to:

  • Manage an emergency
  • Recognise chest pains / heart attack
  • Get to know the AED
  • Operate the AED
  • Resuscitate (CPR)
  • Treat an unresponsive casualty
