We are delighted to announce that at the Parish Council Meetings of 16th May it was agreed to proceed and have an additional 20 car parking spaces created close to the barriers on Bicknacre Playing Fields. This will be used by the football club on Sundays to help alleviate parking issues, and by request from Bicknacre Village Hall, The Priory Primary School, Friends of Priory Fields for overflow parking when required.


The Parish Council received £6,800 from the EALC Local Service Fund to employ a company to upkeep our village greens & open spaces!

The Parish Council received £1,180 from the  Essex County Council CIF Fund for matched funding for new swings at Lodge Road – installation date 15th February 2019

We have installed Automatic External Defibrillators (AED’s) installed in the villages, one at Bicknacre Village Hall, the other at The School Room, Woodham Ferrers.  We are running a futher training courses in conjunction with local First Responders, which are open to all residents of the Parish in the first instance.

AEDs are proven to save lives and are therefore an invaluable addition to health and safety for all
